Position Title: Systems Engineer
Location: India, Pune (On-site)
A10 Networks (NYSE: ATEN). The following high-level requirements describe the Systems Engineer (SE) role at A10 Networks. This is a highly demanding role in that A10 requires very high caliber engineering resources, together with commercial pre-sales acumen to drive success within the sales environment. Note that some of these responsibilities may vary by seniority and region covered.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with pre-sales engineers and solution architects to meet quarterly revenue goals.
• Work with engineering and support teams on improving product quality, and recreation of customer-reported issues
• Help with requests/questions from Regional Sales teams.
• Provide technical support to the sales organization.
• Regular participation within the SE community (answer questions, follow up on comments, etc)
• Drive preference for A10’s solutions with both end-user and channel partners
• Deliver high-quality technical training to channel partners and customers as and when needed.
• Maintain high levels of training on current product features and competitive products and solutions
• Present A10 solutions to business leaders and technical audiences
• Assist writing application notes and technical documents.
• Communicate market trends and requirements.
What We Want to See:
• 4+ years of Pre-Sales, FAE role with solid Application Security, Cybersecurity, Network experience and expertise.
• Good knowledge of at least one of the following areas: Enterprise Applications, Application load balancing or Network/Application Security
• Knowledge of networking stack L2 (vlan, bridge, EtherChannel), L3 Routing Protocols, IPv4 and IPv6, L3 Forwarding and NAT
• Knowledge of Layer-4-7 well-known protocols and technologies, such as HTTP, DNS, SSL, Caching, etc.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies and public/private cloud environments
• Experience in UNIX/Linux environments
• Scripting experience with Python and/or TCL
• Knowledge of installing and configuring hardware and software in test environment.
Experience with building solution proof-of-concept setups in lab from scratch.
• Experience with PoC demos and ability to articulate solution functionality.
• Ability to learn new technology and concepts quickly.
• Ability to work independently and also within a team, as needed
