You will also work on data analysis for computer vision and connected vehicles, design and implement data warehousing solutions, and build Python-based tools for processing vehicle sensor data. Role description:
This entry-level position is ideal for a recent computer engineering graduate with foundational experience in software development and system maintenance. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of innovative software solutions, gaining hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include programming in languages such as PHP, Python, Java, and C#, designing modules, conducting user testing, managing system maintenance, and working with Linux-based systems. You will also collaborate with the team using Git for version control and contribute to developing efficient and scalable solutions. This role is designed to provide valuable experience in software development while supporting Arcadis' digital transformation initiatives.
Role accountabilities:
Software Development:
Write, test, and document modular code following best practices.
Design and integrate user-facing elements and scalable back-end components to improve application performance.
Develop custom solutions to meet business requirements.
Integrate applications with third-party web services.
Deploy applications using company or third-party hosting services.
Utilize cloud-native technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS).
Collaboration:
Work within Agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions.
Conduct peer reviews and focus on quality control.
Collaborate with stakeholders across business areas to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Innovation & Governance:
Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends.
Promote best practices, guidelines, and governance for secure and compliant development.
Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of Python (modular coding, OOP, unit testing, documentation).
Proficiency in full-stack development tools and technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Angular, PHP, SQL, NoSQL).
Experience with Power Platform tools (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Experience working with databases, APIs, and DevOps pipelines.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
Adaptable to working on multiple projects and technologies.
Collaborative mindset with an openness to feedback.
Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams across time zones.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Power Platform pipelines.

The salary range for this position is $56,000-$70,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
