Implement, coordinate, and administer/support systems based solutions (Unix, Windows, Networking and/or Security) providing reliability and performance for all of FactSet’s applications that utilize these systems.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement virtual and physical solutions based on stakeholder requirements
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows server performance and stability issues
• Adapt on-premise services/infrastructure to work efficiently in public cloud
• Create automation to help manage infrastructure lifecycle in public cloud
• Create process and documentation to ensure efficiency and availability
• Plan and execute capacity expansions
• Be part of a periodic 24x7 on-call rotation
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• Strong experience with PowerShell and PowerCLI
• Experience with Windows server administration (5+ years)
• Experience with AWS/Azure public cloud services
• Strong technical, analytical and communication skills
• Ability to manage many projects simultaneously, prioritizing appropriately
• Self-disciplined and highly motivated
Highly Desired:
• AWS Certifications
• Hands on experience with creating advanced automation using PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python, Pearl, bash or other scripting languages
• Knowledge of TCP, DNS, LAN/WAN, load balancers, firewalls
