Necessary Qualifications:

possession of a valid B.C. Teaching Certificate;
university training, or its equivalent, relevant to the posted position; and,
successful teaching experience relevant to the posted position.

The successful candidate must:

possess relevant university training with a diploma in Technology Education, or its equivalent related to the position;
possess relevant, successful experience teaching Carpentry, Metalwork, and Automotive at the secondary level;
have specialized Trades training including Red Seal Certification;
be familiar with the BC Student Performance Standards;
have demonstrated and proven strategies for differentiation of instruction, assessment and support; and,
have a solid understanding and knowledge of the new Ministry curriculum and competencies.

Salary range: $60,015 per year to $10+,520 per year, based on category as assigned by the Teachers Qualification Service (TQS) and previous teaching experience.
