The role

We’re looking for an IT Support & Systems Administrator to keep our tech running smoothly and help us stay secure. This is a key role and you’ll be the go-to person for all things IT, handling everything from managing company systems, providing support to our employees globally, to ensuring we stay on top of security compliance. You’ll be someone who enjoys a variety of IT tasks, from system upgrades to responding to security questionnaires, all while keeping things efficient, and professional.

This role requires a mix of technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. We’re looking for someone who enjoys being the go-to person for IT questions in the business and thrives when talking to a range of people.

This role can be based anywhere in New Zealand (fully remote) or work on a hybrid basis from our Wellington HQ.

What you'll do:

Support IT Operations: Provide support for hardware, software, and network issues via Slack, video calls, email, or in person. You’ll be helping the team stay up and running.

Onboarding & Offboarding: You’ll manage our “Joiners, Movers, Leavers” process and support new team members globally with everything IT-related from day one

Managing Systems & Vendors: You’ll oversee procurement and work with third-party vendors to ensure our IT systems are maintained and running at their best

Security & Compliance: Respond to customer security questionnaires and collaborate with our VP of Operations to help keep us on track for SOC2 certification and IT policy compliance

System Maintenance: You'll handle everything from system upgrades to routine checks, ensuring our network, servers, and IT systems run efficiently and without interruptions

Incident Management: When IT emergencies arise, you’ll be the one leading the charge to get things back up and running

What we’re looking for:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

2+ years in IT support or system administration, or a similar role

Hands-on experience with systems like Windows Server, macOS, Linux, etc

Familiar with network tools and cloud platforms (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, AWS, Microsoft 365)

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices

Experience with virtualisation tools like VMware or Hyper-V is a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
