Tableau Developer
Summary
The primary role of a Tableau developer is to create technical visual solutions to address business needs by translating their requirements and finding innovative resolutions, either by creating unique dashboards and data visualization solutions to improve business procedures.
Tableau developers create tableau dashboard reports, collaborate with other developers, and attend feedback sessions to improve systems.
Developers typically go through a strategizing and ideation stage with the business members/team before beginning on creating the application or applying a solution.
Essential Job Functions :
• Confidence to work cross-functionally with various departments including business stakeholders and technical personnel to exchange ideas.
• Skillset to create and enhanced visualizations within Tableau.
• Establishing various connections to Data Sources via SQL server, Teradata, Databricks, etc.
• Hands on with Tableau Desktop (dashboard creation report authoring and troubleshooting, data source management).
• Create interactive filters, parameters and calculations for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau.
Basic Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, engineering, management information systems, or computer science, or related field preferred
• Five + years of experience using Tableau v+.x or higher
Other Qualifications :
• Candidate with HEDIS experience, US Healthcare Medicaid knowledge preferred
• Strong MS SQL Development skills
• AWS knowledge
• Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
• Good communication skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Presentation skills to present to management and customers
• Personal computer and business solutions software skills
• Good ability to work in a team environment with multiple team members
• Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
Work Environment :
• Office environment(Hybrid)
• May require evening or weekend work
