Tactical Security Guard - Respite Shelter/Retail

We are looking for licensed security guards with patience, compassion and empathy who want to make a positive impact in the lives of patients and staff. This is a great opportunity for those looking to advance their career in security and law enforcement.
Requirements:
Valid Ontario Security Guard License
Valid Standard First Aid/CPR certificate
1 year of security experience, w/ preferably in a Healthcare, Respite Shelters, Mall/Retail, Mobile or Campus.
Drivers License and access to a personal vehicle
Ability to commute across the Durham and/or Peterborough region
Strong communication skills in English
Customer service orientated & empathic approach
Demonstrated ability to de-escalate security related incidents & risk assessments
Use of Force Experience/Training is an asset
Basic computer skills
Ability to complete accurate and detailed daily and/or occurrence report writing
CCTV surveillance & Video footage archiving
Previous security experience in healthcare/mental health hospital industry/respite shelter/mall environment(s) would be an asset
Police Foundations, Community Justice Services or Law Enforcement Diploma would be an asset
Position Perks:
Schedule: Flexible on-call/casual availability (Days and/or Overnight shifts)
Pay: $20.20 - $ 22.00
Tactical Training: Crisis Management, Effective Communication, Management of Resistant Behavior & Mental Health Awareness training.
