Job description
The Opportunity:
UCF's College of Sciences HR Business Center (COS HRBC) seeking a Human Resources Coordinator II to be the first point of contact for their assigned unit(s) for all HR aspects. This position will work closely with the employees, managers, and unit head in their assigned unit(s) as well as the HR partner and the HR manager in the COS HRBC.
Responsibilities:
• Provide first point of HR customer service for assigned unit(s) related to recruiting and hiring, initiating and tracking employment changes, processing pay changes, coordinating timekeeping and managing appointments in Workday.
• Facilitate the faculty recruitment process, including working with search committees, processing actions in Workday and providing information and/or status updates to department chair/school directors.
• Work closely with HR partner(s) and HR director on complex issues and process approvals.
• Collaborate with HR partner(s) and HR director to provide HR related trainings to employees and managers of assigned unit(s).
• Collect and track various HR documents that must be submitted to the HRBC, such as annual reports, annual evaluations, performance appraisals.
• Maintain working knowledge of all applicable policies and procedures and ensure process compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
We welcome candidates with experience in any of the following,
• 2+ years of experience in human resources, onboarding, or an administrative role with HR duties.
• Experience in human resources in higher education: demonstrated knowledge and experience in HR administration, support, and processing including but not limited to interpreting and appropriately applying the sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
• Familiarity with international hiring and visa processing.
• Familiarity with faculty hiring in higher education.
• Experience using Workday or similar HRIS systems.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to keep confidentiality.

Job Description:
Key Accountabilities
• Applies the principles and practices of human resource management, talent acquisition and organizational development to contribute to the success of the health system.
• In partnership with the workforce planning and talent acquisition team members, assist in the design and implementation of special programs/projects aimed at the acquisition and development of high performing staff
• Responsible for ensuring that data is prepared and provided to HR leadership and other leaders within the organization to facilitate shared learning and understanding of happenings and trends.
• Provides operational leadership support for the talent acquisition team as needed including assistance with escalated talent acquisition concerns
• Collaborates with the Human Resource Business Partners, Compensation Members and Benefit team to ensure system goals and initiatives are completed.
• Assists leaders in understanding out talent acquisitions philosophies and practices
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree required
• 3 years of experience within Talent Acquisition and/or Workforce planning
