Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Operations and Finance to take charge of our efforts in the Pacific Southwest Region. This executive role combines the responsibilities of a Chief Financial Officer with a focus on operational excellence. In this position, you will analyze and report on market data, linking financial outcomes with operational effectiveness to develop strategies that meet membership, medical expense, administrative, and margin targets.
The Vice President will lead and guide financial planning and operational strategies, overseeing a dedicated team of regional and national associates. You will play a pivotal role in the fiscal oversight of our senior products, through the creation and management of the annual budget, financial planning and projections, risk management, and operational metrics, while collaborating closely with value-based providers, physicians, and MSO leadership. Regular interaction with regional, divisional, and corporate leaders will be an integral part of this role.

• Lead the development and implementation of effective policies and procedures that enhance performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Create and maintain management and performance controls by identifying, measuring, and analyzing data to prevent losses and improve processes.

Make a Difference Using Your Skills
Required Qualifications
• Experience with Medicare Advantage and Medicaid, including participation in the annual bid process.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of senior-level operations and finance experience in the healthcare industry, ideally in a CFO or COO capacity.
• Experience with health insurance organizations, including plan operations.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a growth market.
• Familiarity with CMS bid mechanics and tools.
• Track record of leading teams across multiple locations.
• Knowledge and experience with delegated value-based relationships in the Pacific Western markets.
• Willingness to travel a minimum of 25%.
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to: CA, AZ, CO, NV, WA, UT, or OR.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Public Accountant designation.
• Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience collaborating with physician groups, provider contracting, market operations, and Medicare Risk Adjustment and Stars/Quality functions.
Reporting Structure
• Your role will include oversight of both direct and indirect reports, and you will report to the Regional President.
While this position is primarily remote, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Compensation Range
The compensation below reflects the estimated starting base pay for full-time employment:
$203,400 - $279,800 per year.
This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
