Role summary
We’re looking for a Talent Partner to help shape how a modern, AI-native healthcare company finds, attracts, and hires exceptional people.
You’ll work directly with the Founder to design and execute Abby’s hiring strategy across the full organisation - from clinicians, to HQ, to global teams.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can operate end-to-end - from sourcing and closing candidates, to building the systems, processes, and employer brand that will scale with us. You won’t just fill roles - you’ll help define how great hiring works at Abby.
The Core Idea: Hiring as a system
At Abby, hiring is not a function - it’s a core capability.
The quality of our team determines:
the quality of care we deliver
the speed at which we build
the culture we create
Your role is to make great hiring repeatable, scalable, and high-quality.
Not through ad-hoc processes - but through clear systems, strong judgement, and great candidate experiences.
AI and digital at the core
Abby is an AI-native company, and we expect our hiring function to reflect that.
You will:
use AI tools to enhance sourcing, screening, and candidate engagement
build efficient, automated workflows across the hiring funnel
leverage ATS/HRIS systems (e.g. Rippling) as core infrastructure
continuously improve how we hire through data and technology
This is not traditional recruitment - it’s modern, tech-enabled talent acquisition.
The scope
You will lead and evolve hiring across Abby Health.
End-to-end recruitment
Own full-cycle recruitment across clinical, corporate, HQ, and global roles
Partner with hiring managers to define roles, scorecards, and hiring plans
Source and attract high-quality candidates in competitive markets
Manage offers, negotiations, and close candidates effectively
Candidate experience and employer brand
Design and deliver a high-quality, consistent candidate experience
Ensure clear, fast, and engaging communication throughout
Build Abby’s employer brand across key talent markets
Continuously improve the hiring journey based on feedback
Hiring manager partnership
Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on hiring strategy
Provide insights on market conditions, talent availability, and compensation
Improve hiring quality through better role definition and interview processes
Recruitment systems and operations
Build scalable hiring processes, frameworks, and playbooks
Track and improve key metrics (time-to-hire, quality of hire, conversion rates)
Implement tools and workflows that increase speed and efficiency
Support workforce planning alongside leadership
Leadership and capability
Provide guidance and mentorship across hiring and broader people initiatives
Improve hiring capability across managers and teams
Bring structure and consistency to how decisions are made
Global and remote Hiring
Lead hiring across Australia and the Philippines
Ensure compliant and culturally aligned hiring practices
Design effective remote hiring and onboarding experiences
