We are seeking a skilled Tandoor Chef to prepare and cook delicious Indian dishes in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a tandoor oven, and be able to create a variety of dishes, including naan, tandoori chicken, and other kebabs.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook tandoori dishes using traditional methods and techniques
Operate and maintain the tandoor oven, ensuring it is clean and in good working order
Prepare marinades and seasoning for tandoori dishes
Ensure all dishes are prepared and cooked to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation
Monitor food stock levels and place orders as necessary
Collaborate with other chefs in the kitchen to ensure timely delivery of orders
Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Tandoor Chef or similar role
Knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques and methods
Experience working with a tandoor oven
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
