We are looking for passionate Tandoori Chefs/Cooks at our Mississauga location.
Job Description
Must have good knowledge of North Indian and Pakistani cuisine.
Experience in cooking with a tandoor, an Indian-style oven, using special sauces and spices.
Prepare food for service.
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
Stock inventory appropriately.
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with co workers and customers.
Skills/ Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE IS MUST.
Must have knowledge of Indian food and spices
Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced Restaurant environment.
Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills
Language: Proficiency in English, Hindi and/or Punjabi
Proven cooking experience with tandoors and Pakistani/Indian cuisine.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned orders.
Expertise in Kebabs, Grills, Kadai's etc.
Anyone who is looking for long term and a permanent position.
