A highly respected business management firm seeks a Tax Accountant to join its expert tax team in Westwood, Los Angeles. This hybrid-eligible (or remote) position is ideal for a tax professional with experience serving high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and other clients with complex financial needs.

In this role, you’ll handle sophisticated tax work — from individual and S-Corp returns to estate and trust planning — while partnering closely with clients, managers, and firm leadership to deliver tailored strategies and proactive solutions.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and/or review 1040s, S-Corp, estate, and trust tax returns
Conduct federal and multi-state tax compliance for complex client profiles
Provide ongoing tax planning, projections, and year-end strategy advice
Collaborate with partners, managers, and clients on tax-related matters
Assist with tax research, memos, and audits as needed
Maintain accurate workpapers and ensure timely filings
Stay current on federal and state tax law changes impacting clients

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or EA certification preferred (not required)
2+ years of relevant tax experience
Strong background in HNWI, S-Corp, and estate/trust taxation highly preferred
Public accounting or business management firm experience is a plus
Proficiency with tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, CCH Axcess) and Excel
Detail-oriented with strong communication and client service skills
Self-starter who can manage priorities and meet tight deadlines
