POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting and coordinating Company's tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for income taxes in all jurisdictions (federal, foreign, state, and local) with the Tax Manager. The successful candidate will work with internal employees at all locations, service providers, and other tax professionals in carrying out his or her responsibilities. He or she will work with financial management within the Company and third-party service providers.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to the Tax Manager who works closely with the incumbent in this position to establish and achieve annual corporate goals for the Accounting Department.
Assists the Tax Manager in the oversight of completion of federal, international, and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support by third party service providers. Also responsible for oversight of the tax returns for the Company's international locations and projects.
Manages franchise and property tax functions and oversight of sales and use tax.
Audits federal and state income tax and state and local filings.
Assumes responsibility for accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) in the US and International locations and preparation of tax provision and related documentation.
Coordinates accounting for income taxes for international locations with third party vendors.
Oversees annual foreign bank account (FBAR) filing, when applicable.
Acts as liaison with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issues.
Ensures that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes and is process owner for all SOX controls within the tax department.
Researches potential transactions, including but not limited to, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, projects in foreign locations or new jurisdictions, or other types of transactions.
Assists the Tax Manager with tax planning issues as required.
Assists the Tax Manager in developing tax planning strategies for the Company.
Monitors all new accounting guidance as it relates to taxation and implementing new standards.
Assists the Tax Manager in estimating and monitoring annual cash payments of taxes for cash flow forecasting purposes. Responsible for all types of tax payments for all jurisdictions.
Prepares the quarterly estimated income tax payment calculations.
Assists the Tax Manager in the company's FIN 48/UTP analysis.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 2 to 4 years of experience required within public accounting or industry. International tax experience and Master's Degree in Taxation preferred. Juris Doctorate (JD) and/or CPA preferred.
The incumbent must be knowledgeable of generally accepted accounting principles, have strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel and Word, be detail oriented, ability to multi-task, and be able to work in a team environment. The ability to interface effectively with employees at all levels of the organization is an important requirement.
Discretion and trustworthiness, and the ability to keep all Company information and materials strictly confidential (both internally and externally) are essential elements of this position.
Must be well organized, diligent, and be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and to independently identify work to be done. Must be flexible and have the ability to adjust to sudden changes in work priorities. The incumbent must also have the ability to prioritize work generally and in order to accommodate those changes. Attention to detail and extreme care in performing tasks accurately and carefully are also essential.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.
The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment if required to work or visit the jobsite. This may include hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, personal flotation devices, or other equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
The incumbent must possess the ability to remain calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident and as directed by the Safety Representative or other management personnel. Must be capable of evacuating the work area in a timely manner should an emergency situation arise.
