Akkodis is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer for a full-time position with a client in North York (Hybrid), and ideally looking for experience with C# and ASP.NET, React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs

Location: North York, ON (3x a week in office)

Job Description:

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our team. You will help build new features, update existing ones, and support bug fixes and performance issues in our school cash management and/or payments suite, used by thousands of schools and over a million parents and guardians across North America. Our products save time and money that can be invested in student outcomes, and we are extremely proud of our impact. Responsibilities:

• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using software development best practices

• Collaborate with other developers, UX designers, and product owners to ensure the best outcomes and experience for our customers and our users

• Create user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases

• Work on bug fixes and resolve production issues

• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on business and technical needs

• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them to our product and processes as appropriate

• Work with designers to match visual design intent

Requirements & Skills:

• 3-5 years of backend experience with C# and ASP.NET

• Frontend experience with React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks

• Experience developing and using REST APIs

• Experience interfacing with relational databases using SQL

• Experience working in a Scrum or Agile environment

• Experience with Azure

• Writing robust and testable code

• Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process

• Understanding of Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.

• Creative problem-solving skills

• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse technologies and techniques

• Experience with secure coding practices and performance diagnosis, and optimizations preferred

About the Client

Based in downtown Vancouver, our client is a publicly traded company that has been in business for over 20 years. They are currently looking to add a Tax Analyst to their team. The ideal candidate will be a designated professional with 2+ years of Canadian tax experience.

About the Position

Reporting to the Tax manager, the tax analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly consolidated tax provisions and related documents.

• Prepare annual Canadian corporate tax returns, including T106s and T1134s

• Prepare responses to tax audit requests from various tax authorities and do compliance work.

• Prepare and update tax working papers and calculations.

• Assist with the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and work on transfer pricing strategies.

• Assist in various tax projects, including planning and implementing strategies.

Requirements:

• Pursuing in-depth tax courses.

• Designated CPA

• 2+ years of Canadian tax experience.

• Mining experience is an asset.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $75,000 to $100,000

• Extended health and dental

• RRSP Matching and health spending account.

• Discretionary bonus

• 2 to 3 weeks’ vacation
