Job Title: TCMS Software Engineer [Focus: Traction System]
Description
We are seeking a skilled TCMS software engineer to develop and implement software solutions for the Train Control and Management System (TCMS) with a focus on traction systems in railway applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Create system requirements and test specifications for software development
Develop, implement, and optimize TCMS software using PLC programming as IEC 61131-3
Design and implement software algorithms for interface to traction converter and auxiliary converter
Ensure the software meets performance, reliability, and safety standards required in railway applications
System Integration and Testing:
Develop system test specifications for functional testing
Execute test cases as defined in system testing specification
Collaborate with external stakeholders for full integration on rail vehicle
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in TCMS software development or related control systems in the railway industry
Proficiency in PLC programming as per IEC 61131-3 and C/C++
Familiarity with communication protocols used in railway systems (e.g., CAN bus, Ethernet, MVB)
Understanding of EN50128 for software development an advantage
Knowledge of traction converter and auxiliary converter functionality
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in diagnosing and resolving complex integration issues
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing requirements
Working Conditions
Full-time position with occasional travel required for system integration, commissioning, and testing activities
Office and field-based work environments, including hands-on testing in laboratory or railway system environments
