The role with us
This role will be part of the Data Management and Analytics team which sits under the Business Transformation portfolio. The resource in this team will be responsible for the Ongoing Data Migration activities and will also be involved in other Data Programs like data quality management, analytics and reporting, data best practices, etc. The resource will be required to work on weekdays during the standard working hours and will be required to work with a team spread primarily across India, Hong Kong and Singapore. This person will initially be part of the Data Migration team which is one of the components of the wider Data Management and Analytics team.
What you'll work on
As a Data Management Analyst, you will be primarily involved in the ETL of data using the best analytical practices. He/She will be using Alteryx and tableau to analyse and assess the data spread across various systems like SFDC, inventory management and the billing system. His/Her responsibilities will also include working closely with the Product Owners, BAs and other stakeholders to understand their data needs.
Key responsibilities
• Develop an understanding of the system and process consumption of the data you analyse to enable you to perform effective analysis to guide data management strategies which maximise business and customer outcomes
• Use relevant tools, systems and techniques to collect, store, organise, clean and process data in line with Telstra guidelines and processes
• Support the development, enhancement and maintenance of multiple data sets to ensure data platforms are running effectively and efficiently
• Monitor data governance and quality processes, identify opportunities for enhancements and communicate recommendations to the team to help establish new data quality profiling processes
• Deliver data migration profiling to inform both business and solution design decisions
• Collaborate and build relationships with specific stakeholders to understand data requirements and advise on best practice data governance, architecture and management approaches from concept design to solution
• Collaborate various subject matter experts to ensure the correct interpretation of data is consumed in the analysis you perform
• Prepare remediation inputs for both automated and manual remediation activities
