Benefits
Compensation and BenefitsThis is a 6 hour per week position
The hourly rate for this regular, part-time, non-exempt position is [$20 to $25] per hour, depending on exact experience and qualifications
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:Develops and delivers engaging visual arts lessons aligned with Waldorf pedagogy
Integrates artistic, intellectual, practical, and social elements into instruction
Collaborates with class teachers to support students’ learning
Nurture and support the class community, fostering a safe and inclusive environment
Maintains positive relationships with parents, responding to concerns and scheduling conferences as needed
Participates in monthly specialty meetings when possible
Meets weekly (for teacher in their first three years) or monthly with an advisor for support and guidance
Submits grades and quarterly, semester, and year-end reports for grades 6 (midyear and year-end), 7, and 8.Writes student recommendations as needed
Maintains positive relationships with parents and responds to all parent concerns
Maintains positive, professional relationships with colleagues and responds to all collegial concerns
Engages in ongoing professional and personal growth
Fulfills other duties, as assigned, relative to the job responsibilities.Competencies:Strong content knowledge of visual arts, an understanding of Waldorf education, and the ability to teach various artistic techniques while presenting lessons effectively
