The Opportunity:

Full-Time and Part Time 0.4 EFT | Fixed-Term contract of employment until 31/07/2026.
TL $89,536 - $126,983 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).
Moorabbin Campus – onsite parking with close proximity to public transport.
Our Electrical Department delivers both pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs within the electrotechnology industry, equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career as an electrician. At Moorabbin, we also provide specialised programs in renewables and engineering, utilising industry-standard equipment and modern teaching and assessment technologies to deliver practical, future-focused training.

We are seeking experienced, qualified A Grade Electricians to join our team and deliver Certificate II (Pre-Apprenticeship) and Certificate III (Apprenticeship) Electrotechnology programs. This is a rewarding opportunity to share your industry expertise and support the development of the next generation of electricians through hands-on, high-quality training in purpose-built workshops. You will teach practical skills such as electrical installation, testing, fault-finding, safety, and emerging technologies, with knowledge of renewable energy systems highly valued. In line with VET and regulatory requirements, you will work with a diverse student cohort, contribute to continuous improvement, and support strong learning outcomes.


As a Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging, hands-on Electrotechnology training across Certificate II and Certificate III programs using innovative teaching methods.
Develop high-quality learning and assessment resources for workshops, classrooms, and workplace-based settings.
Support students throughout their learning journey, from pre-course guidance and induction to assessment, feedback, and completion.
Collaborate with industry, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure training is current, compliant, and aligned with practical electrical industry standards, including renewable technologies.
Contribute to course development, continuous improvement, compliance, and the maintenance of accurate records and regulatory documentation.
To succeed in this role, you will have:

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or an equivalent qualification.
An approved degree, diploma, or certificate in Electrical or Electrotechnology (or equivalent), at least to the level you will teach, plus a current electrician licence and any required registration.
Proven experience delivering high-quality, industry-relevant VET programs that engage and support diverse learners.
Strong contemporary teaching skills, with the ability to use digital tools, ICT, and flexible approaches to bring complex concepts to life.
A learner-focused approach, with excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships and support student success.
Exceptional organisation and communication skills, with attention to compliance, record-keeping, and deadlines.
A collaborative, adaptable mindset, able to engage with industry and stakeholders while contributing to team and organisational objectives.
WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
