You will deliver the course in the classroom, through workshops as well as in simulated learning environments at our Ashmore Campus. The successful applicant will be a trade qualified individual who has a passion for the Electrical Industry. They will be supported and mentored while they transition into their role as a teacher at TAFE Queensland. You will shape the future of the electrotechnology industry by:
Developing and delivering high quality modern training and assessment programs to a diverse range of students.
Ensuring outcome focussed vocational education and training (VET) programs.
Linking with industry, schools, universities, & community to ensure success of our students.
Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies
Working collaboratively in a dynamic environment focused on positive student outcomes and continuous improvement.
This Opportunity is based at TAFE Queensland's Ashmore Campus and is Temporary Full-Time contract to 27 June 2025, with possibility for extension or permanency.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
Vocational qualification UEE30820 – QLD Electrical Fitter Mechanics licence or equivalent, and
Proven Experience in a broad range of current industry skills.
One of the following training and assessment credentials:
TAE40122 or TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment WITH UPGRADE UNITS - TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor;
TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development;
TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor;
Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
