The Role

The Teacher of Civil Construction will guide our learners to exceed their potential in the industry. We are seeking superstars with experience across infrastructure projects such as roads, subdivisions, bridges, pipe laying, rail construction, and mobile plant operation. Experience in temporary traffic management is a bonus.

You should also be acutely experienced in promoting a safe working environment, and a passion for keeping our communities protected!

This position is available in the South at the Clarence Campus.

On any given day, you will:

Engage and inspire learners with industry training materials and lesson plans
Promote Health and Safety practices in and out of the classroom
Assess learners through their journey, and promote continuous improvement
Hone leaners skills to ensure they shine in the classroom and industry
Keep updated on the latest industry trends and technology
What will you bring

Deliver engaging and effective instruction to students in various aspects of civil construction, such as methods, materials, tools, plant and equipment usage.
A passion for sharing knowledge and articulating complex industry jargon and concepts.
Provide hands-on training and guidance to help students develop practical skills relevant to civil construction
Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
A minimum Certificate III in Civil Construction or Certificate III in Civil Construction, Plant Operations
A current Working with Vulnerable People registration is required, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.

Already have your Work Skill Instructor Skill Set? We are looking for applicants who have attained this unit in their Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) to become Associate Teachers. If you already have your TAE or would like to know more about how to obtain one, please reach out!

This is a permanent, full-time position (72.2 hours per fortnight).

A current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
