iSaahasi Academy India Foundation is a Non-Profit organization that aims to grow young vulnerable women into confident individuals capable of making informed choices, through education, counseling, mentoring, and workplace skills.
Through our partner organization, our participants support themselves financially while obtaining job training, workplace skills, and experience in a supportive environment.
Position Description:
The part-time teacher will collaborate with the team to support the implementation and operation of the iSaahasi by providing educational instruction, training support, and curriculum development for its participants.
Responsibilities:
Although there may be slight variation and change in responsibilities as you gain experience and based on the need of the program your primary duties will be:
Work with the academy team to implement plans, on a daily basis.
Teach English, Hindi, Math, Social science, and computer to a group of adult learners.
Assist in creating lesson plans and implementing them.
Use and adapt effective methods for classroom management and group facilitation.
Provide attention and adaptation to meet the learning needs of students with varied interests, learning styles, and abilities.
Use and support students in online technology programs to enhance learning and practice.
Implement and modify teaching techniques according to the needs of the students
Keep academic and behavior records of student progress through trackers in an organized manner.
Consistently seek out feedback and implement it to grow in skills needed for teaching the participants.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
Bilingual English/ Hindi.
Commitment to teaching students how to think independently and ask questions—not only facts and memorization
Graduate
Aptitude to teach
Experience teaching teens or young adults preferred
Passion for empowering women
