Some of the exciting things you will do as a Teacher Preschool include, but are not limited to:
Make a difference everyday!
Work collaboratively with all teachers to ensure consistency throughout the program
Work collaboratively and contribute to daily lesson plans that challenge students at all levels
Communicate daily with parents through verbal face to face, email, daily sheets, etc.
Work with and perform duties assigned by your lead teacher
Represent Open Minds in a professional manner
Build positive relationships in our surrounding communities
Be a positive role model for your students
Effectively manage your classroom/age group
Attend monthly curriculum training (High Scope)
Salary Ranges
$17.00-$21.00 per/hour
INDOMHP
At least 18 years of age
Prefer an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
Degrees in related fields may be accepted with a minimum of 12 credit hours in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
A minimum of one year of experience working in a licensed child care facility
Proficient with classroom technology, including iPads, laptops, and learning software
Physically able to sit, stoop, bend, and move into low-level positions to interact with children at their level
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)
Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings and fingerprint background checks
Preferred Qualifications
Lead Teacher eligibility:
Option 1: 6 months of teaching experience
Option 2: 3 semester hours in ECE/Child Development and 3 months of teaching experience
Note: Open Minds will cover the cost of certification if needed
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed
