Teachers’ Aide
Manjali Studio School (STUDIO SCHOOLS OF AUSTRALIA LTD), is looking for a full-time (at least 38 hours per week) permanent Teachers’ Aide to join their team and work and perform the following duties and tasks:
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Supporting teaching staff in delivering integrated learning activities across classroom, outdoor, and community settings, reflecting the school’s holistic model of education.
● Assisting students during lessons by reinforcing instructions, guiding participation, and helping them stay engaged in practical and hands-on tasks.
● Providing individual and small-group support to students who require additional assistance with literacy, numeracy, or personal development activities.
● Helping facilitate culturally appropriate learning experiences, encouraging respect for Indigenous language, traditions, and community knowledge embedded in daily education.
● Supervising students during boarding, recreational, and transition periods, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour at all times.
● Assisting with the preparation and organisation of learning materials, equipment, and activity spaces, including outdoor and community-based projects.
● Observing student progress and behaviour, and reporting relevant feedback to teachers to support personalised learning approaches.
● Supporting the development of students’ social, emotional, and life skills, including teamwork, independence, and confidence in a residential environment.
● Participating in daily routines and school-wide activities, recognising that all staff contribute to continuous learning throughout the day.
● Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment, aligned with the organisation’s commitment to student wellbeing and cultural sensitivity.
Requirements
● Relevant qualification or 1 year of experience in lieu of the qualification.
● At least 1 year of experience.
● Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to assist in coordinating daily learning activities and routines effectively.
● Ability to remain calm and adaptable in a dynamic school environment, including classroom, outdoor, and residential settings.
● Demonstrated understanding of student wellbeing, safety practices, and duty of care responsibilities within an educational setting.
● Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and community members.

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
