ROLE SUMMARY:
ACG Strathallan is a leading co-educational, non-denominational, independent school based in Karaka, South Auckland providing world class education to students from year 0-13. Our secondary campus is tailored to provide an excellent learning environment for students, delivering both Cambridge and NZ Curriculums.
We require an enthusiastic and capable English Teacher who is able to deliver motivational and differentiated lessons that cater for student’s individual needs. The successful applicant will have strength in teaching literacy, be very well organised, enjoy working as a part of a supportive team, and be willing to contribute to the life of our school. This is a full-time, permanent role is due to commence term 1 2026.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach english, ensuring you create an engaging learning environment.
Cater to the varied learning needs and abilities within your classes to maximise student development.
Develop excellent working relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Ensure the effective use of technology in teaching and learning activities.
Participate in wider school activities.
Ensure student's welfare and safety in every moment.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
NZ Teacher registration with supporting teaching qualifications (BA and/or MBA).
Experience in teaching english in a secondary school curriculum to a high standard.
Well-prepared, inspiring confidence in students and parents.
Flexible, committed, professional, hard working, team player.
