About the role
Teaching Assistants (TAs) will supplement academic lectures through the delivery of group teaching (for example, in seminars and workshops) and associated duties for students taking modules in the School of Management. Associated duties may include marking of coursework and exams.

The post holder will report to the leader of the module (s) they support, and the appointment will be available from 21st September 2026 to 30 June 2027.

Salary is £21.68 per hour plus an additional market supplement of £12.54 per hour, making a total of £34.52 per hour (please note, marking is paid at different rates depending on the type of marking and length of scripts).

About you
The ideal candidate will be educated to Master’s level, or hold equivalent or professional qualifications and experience, in a management-related field relevant to the course modules of interest. They will demonstrate knowledge of Operations and Technology, alongside an excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, email and the internet, supported by a high level of literacy and numeracy.

They will have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, enabling them to engage with students as well as academic and administrative staff at all levels. Strong organisational and time management skills are essential, ensuring the ability to manage workloads efficiently and maintain a high standard of work.
