Part-Time | Summer and 2026–2027 Season
Houston Dance Works is growing our teaching team for the 2026–2027 season and is seeking experienced, engaging instructors who align with the heart and standards of our studio.
For over 15 years, HDW has built confident, well-rounded dancers through structure, connection, and high-quality instruction. Our mission is simple:
We build confidence through dance — teaching lessons that last far beyond the studio walls.
Areas of Interest
We are currently interested in teachers with experience in:
• Preschool Dance (Ballet, Tap, Jazz)
• Elementary Ballet & Tap
• Tumbling / Preschool Gymnastics
• Acro / Strength & Flexibility
• Contemporary
• Hip Hop
Our greatest current need is in early childhood (ages 2.5–6).
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading dance classes in a studio environment
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Professional, positive, and reliable teaching presence
• Experience working with children and families
Responsibilities May Include
• Leading weekly classes with structure, energy, and professionalism
• Creating an engaging and age-appropriate classroom environment
• Following curriculum and contributing positively to the student experience
• Communicating clearly with studio leadership and families when needed
• Helping maintain a positive, team-oriented studio culture
