Curtin Centre for Aboriginal Studies (CAS) is excited to announce an opening for a Teaching Support Officer in a continuing full-time vacancy (1.0 FTE).

This position is essential for providing comprehensive administrative support to our Unit and Course Coordinators, ensuring the seamless operation of our academic programs across various locations and delivery modes.

As a pivotal member of our team, you will collaborate with internal service providers, including HR, Student Services, and Course Management, as well as liaise with external partners when necessary, to facilitate the timely execution of all administrative tasks associated with our units and courses. In this dynamic role, you will play a vital role in enhancing the educational experience for both students and faculty.

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
Organising course and unit availability, ensuring access to essential materials for students and teaching staff.
Managing processes related to assessment and academic integrity.
Preparing documentation for Boards of Examiners and course reviews.
Communicating with academic staff and supporting them in addressing student inquiries.
Who we are looking for:
Proven ability to guide others on procedures and ensure compliance with policies while delivering client-focused service to diverse individuals.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with a clear and professional approach to sharing information.
Effective in organising tasks according to priorities, multitasking to meet deadlines, and solving non-standard problems both independently and collaboratively.
Experienced in using various computer software, including databases, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Desirable
Demonstrated understanding of the academic environment and the student experience within a higher educational institution.
Demonstrated experience in the use of Blackboard (Learning Management System) and corporate student information systems (e.g. Student One).

Role Requirements:
As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
Ability to work outside of normal office hours to accommodate semester and academic requirements.
