About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Team Lead – Business Support to join our Aged Care Services team. This position provides strategic and operational leadership across business support, administrative and reporting functions, ensuring systems and practices are efficient, compliant, and aligned with the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
In this role, you will be responsible for streamlining business and administrative processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness, overseeing accurate and timely billing and claims to maximise revenue and support cash flow, and ensuring the delivery of trusted, timely reporting that provides a single source of truth for operational and financial performance. Working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders, you will establish feedback mechanisms to identify, understand and resolve complex business challenges, driving continuous improvement across the service.
The Team Lead will also play a key role in the development, implementation and enhancement of systems, processes and tools that demonstrate compliance with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements. A strong focus on quality improvement, innovation and evidence-based practice will underpin your leadership approach, supporting improved service outcomes for clients and operational excellence for the organisation.
This position manages a team comprising Business Support Officers and Business Support Administrators with responsibilities shared across our West Perth Head Office and Wembley site.
About you
We are seeking a motivated and capable leader with demonstrated experience in managing business support or administrative functions within a complex service environment. Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, together with a proven ability to lead teams, optimise processes and use data to inform decision-making, will be essential to success in this role. Experience within the Aged Care or community services sector will be highly regarded.
Key skills will include:
Tertiary qualification in a relevant business, management or information technology discipline (or equivalent experience)
Strong project management skills across the project lifecycle.
Ability to interpret legislation, standards and policy, and translate into practical systems/processes.
High level analytical skills with proficiency in spreadsheets and data/reporting systems.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills (including de‑escalation).
Proven team leadership, coaching and performance management capability.
National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
Drivers licence
