Team Lead- Fund Accounting

Job Title: Team Leader Fund Accounting

Location: Mumbai

Shift: US Shift (6:30pm IST to 3:30am IST)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the fund accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records for Hedge Funds, Alternative Investments, private equity and debt funds.

• Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly fund investor allocations.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.

• Review and approve management and performance fee calculations.

• Record daily expenses, accruals and interest receivables into accounting books.

• Oversee complex valuation methodologies for illiquid debt instruments including fair value assessments.

• Conduct financial analysis on fund performance and valuation accuracy.

• Supervise reconciliation of capital flows and fund transactions.

• Utilize financial systems to research and resolve portfolio issues.

• Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to team members.

• Collaborate with auditors, investors, and other stakeholders.

• Drive process improvements and efficiency in fund accounting operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• CA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification preferred.

• 7+ years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in private debt or alternative investments.

• Should have knowledge of Fund Accounting platforms. Geneva experience preferred.

• Proficiency in financial systems and data analytics tools.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with attention to detail
