Technical Lead – MERN Stack & Mobile Applications

A. Role Summary
The Technical Lead will be responsible for end-to-end technical ownership
of enterprise web and mobile applications built on the MERN stack. The
role involves solution architecture, hands-on development, code quality
governance, team mentoring, and close collaboration with cross-functional
teams in an Agile delivery model.
B. Key Responsibilities
1. Define and drive application architecture, technical design, and
development standards for MERN-based solutions.
2. Lead full-stack development activities across web and mobile platforms.
3. Review code, enforce best practices, and ensure adherence to performance,
security, and scalability standards.
4. Mentor and guide development teams, providing technical direction and
design reviews.
5. Work closely with Product, QA, and DevOps teams for sprint planning,
release management, and production deployments.
6. Oversee backend API design, database modeling, and system integrations.
7. Support CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and production issue
resolution.
8. Ensure compliance with organizational engineering processes,
documentation, and audit standards.
C. Mandatory Skills
1. 3–8 years of hands-on experience in Full Stack Development using the MERN
stack.
2. Strong proficiency in React, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.
3. Proven experience in technical leadership, architecture design, and code
reviews.
4. Hands-on experience in mobile application development using Kotlin and
backend integrations.
5. Strong understanding of scalable system architecture, performance tuning,
and security best practices.
6. Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
7. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
D. Desirable Skills
1. Experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS / Azure / GCP).
2. Exposure to Firebase, Capacitor, and hybrid mobile frameworks.
3. Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
4. Domain experience in BFSI / Insurance or other regulated industries.
E. Work Model
This role is strictly Work From Office.
Candidates must be available to work full-time from the Kolkata office.
