Job Description
Based in our Auckland office, you’ll bring a tech-lead mindset and a solutions-first attitude. You naturally connect teams, close gaps, and cut through complexity to keep delivery balanced and on track. If you’re ready to step into leadership, learning fast, owning outcomes, and making an impact, this role is for you!

What You’ll Do

Lead and develop a high-performing team in a collaborative, innovative, and customer-focused environment.
Own the end-to-end delivery of software within projects, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Provide technical leadership, helping shape solutions that deliver real value for customers.
Stay hands-on: design, build, test, and deploy software and computer vision algorithms for real-time food sorting.
Drive continuous improvement by adopting modern tools, methods, and best practices.
Balance quality, innovation, and delivery to achieve strong outcomes.
Communicate clearly with stakeholders and provide reliable estimates you can stand behind.
Ensure compliance with software and cybersecurity standards while supporting customers and internal teams.
Qualifications
What You Bring

A degree in Computer Science (or similar), or equivalent practical experience.
Strong programming skills in some of: C++, C#, C, and Python.
Experience developing across Windows and Linux environments.
Exposure to machine learning/AI, computer vision, and data analytics.
The ability to turn data into meaningful insights and tell the story behind the numbers.
Confidence working across teams, identifying dependencies, and keeping work aligned.
Experience with Git and modern development workflows (Azure experience is a bonus).
A passion for prototyping and building innovative solutions that can transform an industry.
Curiosity about emerging technologies and how they can shape the future of food sorting.
Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive, self-driven approach.
A full driver’s licence.
