Job Description
We are looking for a Team Lead/Senior Software Engineer to join our Technology team at Clarivate. The role involves working on existing large scale patent data production systems and ensure that applications and systems are running smoothly. We troubleshoot and maintain systems and work on enhancing, upgrading and stabilising applications.
You will work in a cross-cultural work environment. The existing team is based in UK and US in collaboration with India Colleagues.
About You:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Min 6 Years of Relevant Experience in Python Development using Cloud Technologies, REST Services Development
• Excellent Python Programming knowledge
• Hands-on knowledge of Git, Jenkins, AWS Cloud Technologies, RDBMS (PostgreSQL preferred), Apache Airflow, AWS Microservices, AWS SQS
It would be great if you also had,
• Knowledge of XML, DTDs, XPath, PDF, TIFF and similar formats
What you will be doing in this role?
• Oversee day to day operations and lead a team of colleagues. Guide and review team code to ensure clean, efficient, and maintainable code, help team members prioritise their work.
• Regularly evaluate team performance, technical capabilities, provide colleague feedback and escalate to leadership as needed.
• Plan, delegate and direct the team’s day-to-day work to achieve operational targets or objectives with contribution to the immediate results for the team or department.
• Implement design changes to improve quality, performance, cost reduction, and standardization through analysis of designs and problem-solving techniques.
• Define architecture of software solution.
• Responds to direct or indirect customer inquiries regarding function and design and attends customer meetings.
• Identify and lead team-level quality and process improvement initiatives

About the team:
The app dev production support team is a dedicated team of software engineers who ensure the smooth and continuous operation of legacy and new software applications and systems. We identify and diagnose issues, resolve incidents and fix issues, develop and implement enhancements and utilities, monitor the system for errors and anomalies, provide ongoing maintenance and support to users, implement automated monitoring and alerting systems.
Hours of Work:
This is permanent position with Clarivate. You will be working in IST time zone. + hours of work per day including 1 hour lunch break. We have hybrid work model, flexible and employee friendly work environment.
