Job Description
The Team Leader - Aviation Technical Support is responsible for:
Managing day to day operational requirements and providing effective leadership of your team.
Providing specialist technical advice on the Texan (T-6C) and the Beechcraft King Air 350 (KA 350).
Managing the delivery of Continuing Airworthiness Management functions for the T-6C and KA 350 aircraft fleets.
Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships with contracted continuing airworthiness management and maintenance providers; and
Monitor maintenance activities ensuring contractual obligations and agreed standards are meet.
Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, flexible working arrangements may be considered.
Please Note: The formal title for this role within NZDF is Desk Officer Technical Support Civilian Aircraft.

Along with having considerable experience in a relevant role within airworthiness management and/or aircraft maintenance, you will need the following key skills and experience:
Broad knowledge of, and experience working within, airworthiness frameworks and continuing air management functions (for example with EASA, FAA, CASA, NZ CAA or military equivalents).
Team Leadership/ Management experience.
Considerable experience engaging with key stakeholders and providing specialist technical advice on best practise requirements and standards.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain sustainable working relationships.
Experience working with contractors to effective outputs and monitor compliance; and
A relevant qualification in aeronautical engineering or aircraft maintenance is welcomed
With well developed and pro-active communication skills, you will able to offer effective advise to a wide range of stakeholders as well as influencing and affecting change.
