About the role
Are you an experienced people leader who thrives in a fast paced, customer focused environment? We are seeking a proactive and capable Team Leader to lead the Business Support Team within our Planning and Building Branch.
In this role, you will oversee the day to day operations of a high performing support team, coordinating workloads, providing clear direction, and supporting staff through coaching and constructive feedback. You will play a key role in maintaining service standards and driving continuous improvements to systems, processes, and ways of working.
As one of two Team Leaders in the Business Support Team, you will help lead a team of approximately 16 staff who are essential to the delivery of the branch’s core services. You bring strong business support experience, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to balance operational demands while maintaining high service standards and meeting statutory timeframes.
What your experience might look like
Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve high performance outcomes with coaching skills to develop team capabilities, team cohesion and the ability to effectively manage conflict and under performance.
Demonstrated ability to work in a regulatory and multi-function team environment.
High level of initiative and independence with the ability to establish priorities
Ability to identify, develop and implement change initiatives to improve process quality and service delivery.
