Details: The Debt Management Business Unit within the ACT Revenue Office is seeking a proactive Team Leader to oversee a team dedicated to managing and recovering outstanding taxation and revenue debts.
As a Debt Management Team Leader, you will join a dynamic, agile, and collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality results.
In this role, you will provide leadership and support to officers in a fast-paced operational environment, supervising debt management activities and associated account administration functions. Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will deliver daily leadership, direction, and guidance to ensure accurate, consistent, and compliant outcomes.
The successful applicant will have experience in interpreting legislation, resolving complex debt and account issues, and effectively addressing escalated customer and stakeholder enquiries. You will drive compliance and recovery through proactive taxpayer engagement, thorough case reviews, and strategic use of enforcement tools.
You will also play a key role in supervising, coaching, and developing staff, fostering a positive, resilient, and high-performing team culture.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
Qualification/s or experience in relevant subject area including but not limited to debt recovery, accounts administration and working with regulations are highly desirable and may be an advantage.

Note: This is a temporary position available for a period of up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
