We’re looking for a dynamic Team Leader who can support and empower staff, confidently oversee multiple programs, and bring strong advocacy skills to working with children, young people, and families. You’ll guide teams working across Homelessness, Student Advocacy, and Youth Diversion, championing a holistic approach that keeps children’s rights and voices at the centre of all components of our work together. In this full-time, permanent role, you’ll work as a part of our Leadership and Program Delivery teams in Darwin to help us create lasting change for children.


You will make a difference by:

Supporting and supervision for approximately 8 staff
Supporting the coordination and implementation of Homelessness programs, Student Advocacy and Youth Diversion
Holding a small caseload of complex Student Advocacy cases, providing case management and 1:1 advocacy for children and young people’s inclusion in education at NTG Schools
Liaising and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and funding partners
Leading program reporting and oversee delivery in accordance key performance indicators

This role requires:

Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, or equivalent associated qualification and/or significant demonstrated experience in a similar role within the sector
Experience in providing advocacy support and/or knowledge of education systems in the Northern Territory
Experience supervising staff, and managing or overseeing a program/service
Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a high performing team to achieve collective goals, program and client outcomes
