We are currently seeking experienced Disability Support Team Leaders to join our compassionate and dynamic team.

This role is ideal for individuals with experience in supporting people with mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and challenging behaviors. You will work closely with an Area Supervisor, who will provide training, guidance, and support to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.

About the Role:
As a Disability Support Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include:
Leadership & Supervision: Lead and support a team of Disability Support Workers, escalating concerns to the Area Manager as needed.
Operational Support: Ensure an efficient and effective working environment for the team, addressing roster changes and staffing issues in collaboration with the Roster Coordinator.
Roster Management: Assist Area Managers in building team rosters 8-12 weeks in advance to ensure optimal coverage.
Quality Care Delivery: Ensure that client care plans, including BSP, and other support plans, are being followed and meet the needs of each participant.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure coordinated care and ongoing support.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure the homes are compliant with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies while maintaining high-quality records and completing mandatory reporting.
Direct Care: Provide hands-on support for participants, including meal preparation, personal care, administering medication, and assisting with daily activities.
About You:
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in supervising or leading a team of disability support workers.
Experience supporting individuals with a range of disabilities, including mental health, autism, and challenging behaviors.
Previous experience working across multiple group homes or SIL houses.
Proficiency in basic Excel for creating weekly reports.
A Certificate III in Disability (or similar/higher qualification).
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with both participants and team members.
Empathy for the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and a commitment to Person-Centered Practices.
Organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A NSW Driver’s License (or equivalent) and access to your own car is desirable.
