About Us
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

VCAT
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and is transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier, and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.
About the Role
The position leads a team of Case Officers who are responsible for supporting VCAT's users through the case management process by ensuring matters are jurisdictionally sound, procedurally complete, and ready for hearing. The Team Manager is responsible for optimising the work of the team. The role will measure how well the team is achieving outcomes (auality and quantity), and ensure work processes are highly efficient and continously improved.
You will be required to:
ensure case coordinators have the capability and capacity to help people reach an outcome at the earliest possible point
create a productive and collaborative team environment where team members help users achieve outcomes
measure how well the team is achieving outcomes and monitor deliverables
optimise, implement and refine processes to improve performance including robust feedback
lead continuous improvement activities within the team, using evidence-based methods
assign tasks to team members and monitoring completion of tasks
exercise delegated functions subject to the direction of the Principal Registrar
There are multiple fixed term and ongoing positions available
About You
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
strong ability to apply complex legislation
ability and experience leading a team in a service delivery environment
experience in reviewing and analysing internal and external information to effect continuous improvement
proven ability to guide others and create a culture of collaboration
strong interpersonal skills demonstrating ability to be clear and concise
