Lead and manage the Security Operations team including monitoring and incident response
Identify processes and tools to improvise the automation and efficiency of monitoring, detection, and response to threats and incidents
Active involvement in time-sensitive threats, including communications and coordination across different teams; work closely with internal and external stakeholders for incident responses to determine appropriate courses of actions
Provide guidance to improvise the defensive capabilities of the SOC in better identifying and responding to cyber security incidents
Refine processes to strengthen the current Security Operations Framework, review policies / playbooks
Creation of reports, dashboards, metrics for SOC operations and presentation to Sr. Mgmt
Analyze, communicate, investigate, and report incidents; identify impact to business
Act as the point for contact between the SOC and business units, service providers (internal and external) and potential suppliers
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in any discipline
5-6 yrs. of experience in Cybersecurity (Security Monitoring/Operations, Incident Response etc.)
Understanding of SOC and its associated processes and workflows
Experience of leading a SOC team, SLA tracking and reporting, Good experience in people management, team handling and vendor management
Familiarity with various threat actor TTPs (tools, technique and procedure) and how they related to the different stages of MITRE ATT&CK framework
Sound understanding of security technologies, common security threats and industry best practices
Knowledge or academic familiarity with reverse engineering, malware analysis, security research and forensic tools
Strong project management skills (objective setting, communications, risk management, performance tracking, evaluation/measurement)
Self-starter; consistently energetic, positive and proactive
Ability to convey technical information to senior management in a simple and unambiguous manner
Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
Certifications (optional) - GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), GIAC Certified Intrusion Handler (GCIH)
