EY-Advisory - Data and Analytics – AWS Architect -Manager

The opportunity
As an AWS Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data storage solutions in Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including data scientists and business analysts, to understand the needs and requirements for managing and analysing data.
Primary skills and key responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data storage solutions using AWS services such as S3, Glacier, RDS, DynamoDB, and Redshift.
• Develop and implement data migration strategies to move data from on-premises systems to the cloud.
• Create solutions that ensure data is easily retrievable, accessible, and secure.
• Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to design solutions that meet their needs and requirements.
• Ensure the integrity and consistency of data by developing and implementing governance practices and standardization procedures.
• Optimize data storage solutions for performance, cost, and availability.
• Develop and maintain documentation including data models, data dictionaries, and technical specifications.
• Manage the configuration and administration of data storage solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve processes and optimize data storage solutions.
Nice to have skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing data storage solutions in AWS environment.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Glacier, RDS, DynamoDB, and Redshift.
• Good Experience in design and implement ETL and Datawarehouse solution using Amazon Athena, Glue, Kinesis.
• Experience in delta lake and lake house architecture implementation using Databricks or Iceberg is a plus.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
• Experience in data migration from on-premises systems to the cloud.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• AWS certification in solutions architecture or data analytics is a plus.
To qualify for the role, you must have
• BE/BTech/MCA/MBA
• Minimum 3 years hand-on experience in one or more relevant areas.
• Total of 6-8 years industry experience
Ideally, you’ll also have
• Experience on Banking and Capital Markets domains
Skills and attributes for success
• Use an issue-based approach to deliver growth, market and portfolio strategy engagements for corporates
• Strong communication, presentation and team building skills and experience in producing high quality reports, papers, and presentations.
• Experience in executing and managing research and analysis of companies and markets, preferably from a commercial due diligence standpoint.
