Role Description
As the Technical Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in the Deutsche Bank anti-financial crime (AFC) technology team. You will be supporting the agile delivery of specific technology capabilities aligned to key global regulatory programs aimed at improving Deutsche Bank’s anti-money laundering (AML) processes. In this role, you will encompass the full spectrum of project management activities including planning, budgeting, project governance activities and managing Agile delivery of the projects, including resource management. You will hold the responsibility for end-to-end delivery for the client screening book of work including automation, improved controls, improved data analytics and reporting capabilities working with key stakeholders from AFC and technology platform leads. As the overall delivery manager, you’ll be involved in various phases of requirements, design, testing and adoption and ensure the delivery teams live the agile values and principles, while following the agreed organisational processes and practices. Responsibilities include proactively removing blockers to team success, establishing an environment where the team can be effective, and protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
The position is required as part of the build out of AFC Tech internal development team in India. The overall team will primarily deliver improvements in anti-financial crime capabilities that are major components of the regulatory portfolio, addressing various regulatory commitments to mandated monitors.

Key Responsibilities :
• Act as the delivery manager for end-to-end delivery of the AFC MI key deliverables within a scrum, overseeing projects from initiation through to completion; help with strategy and backlog management including backlog execution, facilitation of scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand ups, retrospectives, reviews, demos, etc.) and adherence to the process includes kick-off meetings, solution design & product orders raised.
• Take end to end responsibility for delivery of all initiatives in the scrum and executive summary updates to the Program Manager and other key stakeholders.
• Understand and implement the Bank’s program and project management frameworks and methodologies to ensure a consistent approach to delivery is taken across the portfolio using appropriate management tools, processes & practices
• Assist with control/gates and ensure that all project milestones are delivered on time, within the defined scope and budget and to the full satisfaction of the client
• Escalation management and issue resolution relating to the scrum delivery scope and manage project status updates in the tracking tool with all scrum reporting requirements; stakeholder engagement from epics to user stories to demos and user sign-off
• Frequently assessing and reviewing current work practices to identify areas of improvement/lessons learned to apply to future projects within the program and assist the program in overall Agile adoption by aligning to the Deutsche Bank’s practices and standards defined for Agile frameworks.
• Act as a coach and facilitate the team in self-organization and cross-functionality – delivering Agile training and coaching in line with agreed outcomes.
• Identify inefficiencies in Squad operation and remove impediments to the Squad’s progress.
Skills and Experience :
• Good understanding of Anti-Money Laundering process including transaction monitoring, case management, screening, and filtering.
• 15 + Years’ delivery experience with demonstratable skills & proven capability of Agile and scrum techniques, with ability to brainstorm with team to address challenges and roadblocks.
• Highly motivated self-starter, comfortable offering guidance and leadership, both individually and at team levels.
• Excellent delivery capabilities and should have previous relevant experience of managing & delivering end-end projects, with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team spread across the globe.
• Strong experience and exposure to agile methodologies, and strong stakeholder management capabilities with ability to build trust and confidence with a variety of clients, external providers as well as within the company.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines, and strong written and verbal communication with ability to assimilate information quickly.
• Good learning ability, action oriented and resilient in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Proficient in JIRA, Confluence and MS Office tools.
