The key objectives of the Full Stack Mobile apps (Angular/AngularJS+Ionic+ Android) Mobile
Applications Tech Lead/ Engineer Role Are
To assist in the Tech architecture and to Design and build self-contained, reusable, and testable mobile applications for LaundryMate applications on Android/ Angular/Ionic platform.
To Lead Development of front-end apps - With the help of HTML/CSS and JavaScript frameworks and libraries, the developer must be able to build interactive user interfaces.
To Design the backend applications and lead the development of the same - must be able to build a robust backend architecture to fetch data from the servers.
To create application databases and servers - These systems must be resilient to outages and must function endlessly.
To lead API development - Depending on the application architecture, the developer is responsible for API creation.
To develop/build or integrate with middleware if required
To perform all of above "build" activities by writing non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading, when needed
To do Unit-testing of code for robustness and debug the application. To work on application bugs before the release
To Publish applications on App Store.
Collaborate with different teams to develop and ship app features. Work closely with web developers and backend engineers back-end developer in the process of building the RESTful API and communicating with external web services
Build and support high-performing, responsive, and interactive web applications on mobile and desktop. To ensure Cross Platform compatibility - Applications must run smoothly on all operating systems like Windows, MacOS, and Linux. In addition to creating applications for Android devices, they need to take ownership of code maintenance, ensure the quality of the application, fix application bugs and ensure application updates, besides providing Support and Maintenance services to LaundryMate applications users, employing a diverse set of technologies and platforms like Java/ Jscript, Angular/Angular JS, Ionic, Android, iOS, Python, Django, Ruby, noSQL DB, etc.
To meet all technical and consumer requirements - The developer must be able to build responsive applications that meet customer requirements and keep them engaged. Must contribute to the development of new features and functionality.
Essential Skills
Exposure to or some experience (> 4 years) on Ionic/ Angular frameworks is a must, especially in developing or supporting PWA (Progressive Web Applications)
Npm (Node Package Manager) knowledge - tool used to install, discover, publish and develop thousands of client-side node programs.
Angular CLI skills in using Angular frameworks to create new Projects, simplify code with preconfigured configs,
RxJS skills to determine when an asynchronous workflow is needed
Knowledge of Angular framework, NodeJS and ReactJS; TypeScript; strong Java skillset
Strong skillset in JavaScript and associated technologies like React/Angular/Vue etc.
Extensive knowledge and work experience with HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery and CSS3 - essential front-end developer skills to render apps in a browser.
Strong background skillset on Ionic or Flutter or React native
Building apps using Responsive Design skills to ensure a seamless browsing experience regardless of the device mobile, desktop/laptop, handheld, tablet, etc.
Knowledge of Kotlin and Java to develop Android applications. A clear understanding of the collection framework, concurrency, and multi-threading and Java syntax & structures.
Familiarity with Apache Cordova
Real life experience with Continuous Delivery principles and related tools such as - Kubernetes, AKS, Docker, Jenkins, Maven, etc.
Knowledge of some Ionic tools and services include Ionic View, Ionic Lab, Ionic Playground, Ionic creator, ionic.io, Ionic deploy, Ionic push, Ionic analytics
Proven skill set and experience in iOS app development
Objective-C, Swift, Xcode, and Cocoa Touch.
Knowledge of iOS back-end services.
Proficient in iOS Frameworks such as Core Data, Core Graphics, and Core Animation.
Knowledge of Apple's design principles and application interface guidelines.
System integration exposure and development of interfaces to third parties/ vendors through
APIs, equivalent API management. Knowledge of push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging.
TRAVEL
This position does not require travel on a regular basis. However, Travel may be required at infrequent intervals say 1 -2 times in a month, for periods between 1-6 days within the country. Day trips within Karnataka may be required at higher frequencies.
