We are seeking a seasoned Lead Software Engineer to join our team. As the technical owner, you will bridge product vision and delivered reality by architecting, implementing, and maintaining backend services in Python/Django and modern frontend SPAs in React.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of professional experience with Django and 3+ years with a modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework (React preferred). They will be polyglot and pragmatic, fluent in SQL, REST/GraphQL, Git workflows, containerization, and cloud services.
In addition, they will be GenAI-curious, hands-on with Haystack, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent frameworks for building LLM apps. The successful candidate will thrive in early-stage ambiguity, turning sketches or paragraphs into shippable software.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own the full stack: Architect, implement, and maintain backend services in Python/Django and modern frontend SPAs in React.
• Lead and mentor: Establish engineering best practices, conduct code reviews, and onboard and coach junior developers or contractors.
• Ship green-field GenAI products: Prototype and productionize RAG pipelines using Haystack, LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases, and orchestration tools.
• Collaborate directly with clients: Translate ambiguous business problems into technical roadmaps; present progress and trade-offs to executive and non-technical audiences.
• Automate & scale: Design CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, monitoring, and observability for cloud deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure—your call).
• Champion quality & security: Implement testing strategies (unit, integration, e2e), enforce secure-by-default coding, and manage data privacy throughout the ML lifecycle.
