About the Role
At Raga AI, we are building tools to help ML and AI teams accelerate model development, testing and deployment. We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer who can combine technical depth with people leadership to drive our next phase of growth. As a Principal Software Engineer, you’ll take ownership of architecting, designing, and delivering robust, scalable microservices and AI-driven solutions. You’ll work in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment where innovation, performance, and reliability matter most.
What You’ll Do
• Design and develop end-to-end microservices architectures using Java and Python.
• Collaborate on integrating Generative AI (GenAI) technologies into our products and platforms.
• Ensure system design, scalability, and performance through strong engineering practices.
• Deploy and optimize applications on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Debug complex issues in distributed systems with precision and speed.
• Lead technical discussions, mentor engineers, and set coding and design standards.
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of software engineering experience in product-based or startup environments.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Python (TypeScript is a plus).
• Proven expertise in cloud-native development and microservices architecture.
• Experience working with or integrating GenAI technologies.
• Excellent debugging, design, and performance optimization skills.
• Strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and leadership.
