You'll shape our external narrative, build communications infrastructure, and drive strategic communications initiatives while providing operational support to the communications team.
As 2IC of our small but mighty Communications team, you'll be instrumental in positioning Easygo as technology innovators in global markets. What you will do:
2IC Support
Serve as the Head of Global Communications' right hand, stepping in across all communications functions as needed
Handle urgent communication requirements from leadership and legal
Provide operational backup and continuity during critical periods, ensuring no communications gaps
Support the Head of Communications with strategic planning while maintaining hands-on execution capability
Coordinate external communications across cross-functional teams and projects with product, engineering and marketing
Owned Channel Content & Brand Storytelling
Create and manage content across owned channels including Easygo website, company blogs, social media and executive team's channels
Write press releases, statements, and other external communications content
Transform business updates and internal news into external-ready content that supports technology company positioning
Draft talking points, speeches, and presentation materials for leadership
Develop content that bridges internal developments with external technology company narrative
Media Monitoring, Story Development & Pitching Support
Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats
Create compelling technology stories and angles for media pitching, particularly positioning Easygo as a technology company in Australia
Develop story pitches, media materials, and press kits that support technology industry positioning
Support the Head of Global Communications with media relationship building and story coordination
Track media sentiment and prepare briefings on coverage trends across technology, igaming and live streaming media
Market Launch & Regulatory Communications Support
Support Stake's launch in global markets including Canada, EU, and LATAM
Coordinate communications strategies for new market entries, working closely with the LATAM Communications team, legal and strategy
Develop market-specific messaging and content that addresses regulatory requirements
Manage communications timelines and deliverables for product launches, partnerships, and business expansions
What you will bring:
Minimum 5-7 years in corporate communications, technology PR, or integrated communications roles with both strategic and hands-on execution experience
Proven ability to create compelling stories and content that positions companies within technology industry narratives
Strong writing skills across all formats: website content, blogs, press releases, executive materials, and crisis statements
Experience with media monitoring, story development, and supporting media pitching in technology or innovation-focused companies
Experience working as a 2IC or senior communications role supporting leadership across multiple functions
Demonstrated success in fast-paced, multi-brand environments requiring quick pivots between strategic planning and tactical execution
Experience supporting regulated market launches or complex business development communications
Crisis communications experience with ability to respond rapidly across multiple channels and stakeholders
Comfortable working across internal and external communications with cross-functional teams
Bonus points if you also have:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
Previous 2IC or deputy communications role experience
Experience with crypto, fintech, wagering, communications
Knowledge of AI/LLM narrative development and emerging technology positioning
Global communications experience across multiple markets and regulatory environments
Agency management experience
