Job description
A fast-growth finance consulting and outsourcing company headquartered in Austin is looking for a Finance Professional for Bangalore office. The position is client-facing and will own the deliverables for the project.
Requirements:
• SME on GAAP and should be able to have consultative meetings with auditors and CXOs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Should have taken training on GAAP topics.
• Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency/responsiveness.
• Ability to professionally articulate standards in layman's language.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to present GAAP standards to CXO-level resources.
• Intellectual curiosity to understand varied business scenarios and provide out of box solutions.
• Ability to understand the requirements and apply GAAP knowledge to solve problems.
• Supervise, mentor, and review queries ticketing system.
• Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Project manage the tasks by proactively highlighting any red flags.
• Lead client conversations and provide top-notch consulting services.
• External Skills And Expertise.
Skill Sets:
• Strong GAAP knowledge (US GAAP, IFRS, etc. )
• Deep experience in international consolidations, translations, etc.
• Should have written/assisted in drafting technical memos.
• Should have worked on implementing new standards and led audits single-handedly.
• Should have experience in monitoring pronouncements, deciphering ASUs, etc.
• Sound client communication and influencing skills.
• Effectively led multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong problem solver.
• Good people manager.
• Intellectual horsepower.
• Thrives on ambiguity and enjoys the challenges of a growth/fast-paced environment.
• Expert in PPT and presentation skills.
Experience:
• 12+ years of experience (including experience from Big4 audit firms or MNCs).
• Experience in M& A.
• Expert knowledge in GAAP.
• Experience serving US clients is an added advantage.
• Trusted advisor to the executive team regarding business decisions.
• Consulting, private equity, or venture capital experience (is an added advantage).
