Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and support automation using perl, python, bash, etcResponsible for managing day to day support activities in the form of incident and service requestsL2/L3 support for incidents/tickets raised & liaise with multiple SME teams and Customer management teams as requiredSystem administration of Linux systems and variantsPlan, schedule, and implement Infrastructure maintenance activities which include software upgrades, hardware replacement and infrastructure changesManage escalations from other customer facing teams & isolate the issues with proper Troubleshooting stepsRoot cause analysis & Incident report to Management teams and Stakeholders after a Major incidentWork with Service Providers, Hardware vendors to determine causes of device failure/issuesCommunicate effectively with internal and external audiences with varying levels of technical expertiseWork on improvement/maintenance projectsMinimum Qualification and Experience At least 6 - 8 years of experience in a Linux environment. RHCSA/RHCE certification and expertise in Linux systems needed.Mandatory Skills Scripting & automation experience in Python, Perl and ShellKnowledge of infrastructure automation solutions (Ansible, Puppet, etc.)Experience of Linux systems/server administration with hands-on exp in RedHat/CentOS, LVM, BASH, Icinga, Apache, Postfix, Linux Load BalancersTroubleshoot performance, availability and functionality issues & determine root causeFamiliar with Virtualization PlatformsExperience in version control tools like Gitlab, Code CommitExperience with DatabaseDesired Skills Knowledge of Redhat Satellite server will be advantageousFamiliar with Grafana, PrometheusKnowledge/Experience in maintaining and supporting network environmentCCNA certification will be an advantageCompetency Requirement Excellent communication and inter-personal skillsExposure to quality systems (ISO / CMMI)Understanding on ITIL process or similar methodologiesShould be a quick learner with an eye for detailDrive for results within deadlinesDemonstrate a high degree of self-motivation and tenacity to get the job done
