Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Architect – Cloud and Automation to join our Cloud Business Office and report to the manager of solution architecture. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical implementation of innovative solutions across leading cloud platforms, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure, followed by Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Your expertise will be instrumental in enabling our business units to leverage the full potential of cloud computing across the application, infrastructure, and data domains. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, architect, and implement suitable, scalable and secure cloud solutions that meet our business objectives. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership, ensuring best practices, and delivering high-quality, goal-aligned, and client context specific solutions that respect industry and organizational standards.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Responsibilities
Design comprehensive cloud solutions that address business requirements, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across Azure, GCP, and AWS platforms.
Lead and contribute to the technical implementation of cloud solutions, including developing, deploying, and overseeing delivery with implementation teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Work closely with other members of the architecture teams (Enterprise, solution) to ensure cloud services are designed to meet business needs, fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation and excellence.
Partner with platform engineering teams to develop and implement reusable patterns and automation, ensuring efficient, consistent, and secure deployment of solutions.
Collaborate with delivery teams to provide application, data, and AI infrastructure that meets their specific needs, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
Design and implement cloud solutions that can scale globally, supporting the growth and expansion of our business operations.
Advocate for and implement best practices in cloud architecture and deployment, ensuring adherence to industry standards and organizational policies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement and transformation of our cloud infrastructure, applications, and data domains, leveraging the latest technologies and methodologies.
Work with architecture and business representatives to scope business cases for IT solutions by considering infrastructure, licenses, development, and operations costs.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Deep understanding of industry best practices in cloud architecture, deployment, and management.
Skills in developing infrastructure-as-code delivery, including knowledge of Terraform, Bicep, Python, CDKs, CI/CD tooling (such as JIRA, Bitbucket, pipelines, etc.), and application packing/deployment techniques.
Proficiency in application design patterns, including security, scaling, caching, database technologies, and deployment strategies. Knowledge of architecture frameworks and processes such as TOGAF.
Experience with monitoring tools and techniques to ensure the health and performance of cloud environments.
Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and practices to safeguard data and applications.
Expertise in cloud data platforms and data management patterns to support robust and scalable solutions.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices to drive efficient and iterative development processes.
Solid understanding of infrastructure tooling, including Linux, Windows, virtualization, cloud networking, and related technologies.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
A passion for innovation and continuous improvement, staying updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends.
Bilingual in French and English.
