Role Description
Our team collaborates with our Customers and Partners during the project cycle to share their extensive knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Combined with their experience in technical architecture, enterprise integration, and business solution implementation, they directly drive toward the best possible solutions.

Marketing Cloud Technical Architects are experienced technical subject matter experts within specific domains of Salesforce Marketing Cloud applications and tools. The solutions we build are on the cutting edge of our customers’ marketing journeys and 1 to 1 experiences for our customers. We incorporate the use of Predictive Intelligence, building out omni channel customer journeys, integrating with customer data and importing customer data from multiple client data sources. We turn projects around fast and see our clients achieve their objectives quickly.

Through our extended onboarding program of formal certification, internal training, knowledge transfer, hands on experience and closely working with other architects, if not already, you will become a Salesforce Marketing Cloud expert at the forefront of our Architecture offerings, delivering outstanding customer success.

To be successful in the role you:
Provide technical consultation on various aspects of solutions, implement complex development and configuration activities for clients, and run thorough quality assurance tests
Apply programming knowledge to data management, scripting languages, API and integrations tasks
Participate in estimating and writing requirements, deliverables, assumptions and exclusions documentation
Understand solution architecture documents and validate with the solutions architecture team
For customers you're working with, at times, you can be asked by the Go-To-Market Team about whether or not a product could be a good fit for the customer, at which point you're expected to answer with integrity towards the customers current maturity level and targeted outcomes/results
Basic Requirements
Demonstrable experience of technical design & technical delivery of Software-As-A-Service platforms
Experience working with and developing complex and optimized T-SQL, proficiency with HTML, XML, CSS, SSJS, SQL, NodeJS (or similar) and JavaScript, and knowledge of SOAP and REST APIs
Understanding of standard coding practices including Separation of Concerns, Object Oriented principles and exception handling
Data analysis and database design experience with RDBMS such as MS SQL Server (preferable), MySQL, Postgres or Oracle
Experience with other client side web development design languages, scripting tools, and protocols such as HTTP, CSS, XSLT, AJAX, JQuery
Experience with server side programming languages such as .NET (C# or VB), JAVA, PHP, Ruby, C++, Visual Basic, Python
Familiarity with SDLC methodologies including requirements, design, implementation, testing and maintenance
Proficient with Email Responsive HTML & CSS, AMPscript, SSJS, and SQL.
Proficient working with Automation Studio and Journey Builder
Proficient in Marketing Cloud Setup & Configuration activities
Proficient in Email Marketing best practices and laws
A passion for digital marketing and exciting customers
Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical documentation and the ability to conceptualise and communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to scope, define and manage work packages. Support pre-sale qualification with solutions validation.
3+ years hands-on software development and Customer facing technical consulting experiences
Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.) -
Available to travel regionally depending on customer needs

Preferred Requirements
Familiarity with systems integrations such as CRM, Content Management, POS/eCommerce, or Web Analytics
Familiarity with security standards such as TLS, SSL, data encryption algorithms
Experience working with 1 or more modern integrated development environments (i.e. MS Visual Studio, NetBeans, Eclipse or others)
Experience with Product lifecycle management frameworks like Jira and TFS
Experience working with visualization software applications such as MS Visio / Lucid Charts or diagramming tools within Google Slides and PowerPoint
Experience implementing solutions with e-mail tools like ExactTarget, Campaign Monitor, Adobe Campaign etc.
Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other digital marketing platforms
Relevant Salesforce Certifications - Certified Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Certified Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant and Certified Salesforce Administrator
